But in areas away from the sea, there are just as many exciting ways to spend your time. You can go horseback riding in the mountains nearby Mexico City, or in many of the local villages and town. You can watch and even join in on the traditional Mexican dances performed by the natives. There are hundreds of interesting and extremely informational museums, the most famous of which is the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. You can see all sorts of relics and artefacts from the Pre-Columbian and Spanish Conquest times.

One of the best and most culturally rich countries in the world to stop by for a visit to is the colourful and exciting country of Mexico. Its location right beneath the United States belies its extremely differences and cultural uniqueness. Besides the famously delicious food, fascinating music and traditions, and interesting history, Mexico is also known for its variety of geographical terrains and incredible sites to see. The sight that Mexico is perhaps most famous for is Teotihuacan, the location of Mexico’s famous pyramids, the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the Temple of the Feathered Serpent. These pyramids are located right near Mexico City, the capital, and are easily accessed and open all days of the week. If you like seeing pyramids and old ruins, then Mexico also has many other great places to go. The National Palace in the Zocalo or main square of the city is another great place to see history of Mexico and Mexican culture come to life, as it was constructed in 1563 during the first Spanish conquests, and then reconstructed later.

There are many parts of Mexico that are very hot, but also many that get extremely cold, and you must know both your destination and the time of year you plan to travel, and take these into account.
